The Knit Your Own Zombie paperback book, written by Fiona Goble and published in 2012, is loaded with instructions on how to make these little dolls. I can't say that they are cute, but they are certainly morbidly charming.
The book includes everything you need to know to make hundreds, or even thousands, of these little guys and gals. Want more than just zombies? No problem. She's also included classic monsters, such as Frankenstein, Dracula, and the Mummy.
Once you understand and can do the basics needed for these dolls you can change things up so that your version of the undead is unique to your vision. It's a fun way to bring your passion for zombies or The Walking Dead to life. Well, not really life because, you know, their dead. Undead. Not living. Plus, these are made of yarn.
