First things first, this isn't really a decorating idea. I'm admitting that now to get it out of the way. However, as soon as I saw this picture I immediately thought of The Walking Dead for a couple of reasons.
What do you think of when you see this house? In my case, I was reminded of the lookout tower at the prison. You know, the one that Governor destroyed with his tank. Until that happened, the lookout tower was a useful part of the survivors daily routine. People took turns in the tower keeping watch, both for walkers and for unwanted living intruders. Like the Governor (nope, I'm still not over what he did to Hershel or the rest of them!).
The other thing that I thought, aside from how gorgeous the house looks, is that this would make a great place to be if there is a biter apocalypse (hmm - that doesn't have quite the same sound as a zombie apocalypse, does it?). The walls look solid, there are very few windows on the first floor, and there's a tower that has huge windows on all four sides of the room.
The only thing I might be concerned about is the fact that it looks to be primarily of wood, and wood burns. Especially if someone brings a tank and starts blowing it up. Like the Governor.
