This is a video made from LEGO bricks and minifigures that spoofs Star Trek: The Next Generation. If you have seen these type of videos before you might think that this one is of a lower quality than most. However, that's not exactly true...
You see, this video was made way back in 1994. That's over 10 years before YouTube came into creation, so it wasn't made for YouTube.
There is also something else you need to know that makes this video all the more impressive. Today there are LEGO sets for almost anything you can think of (except Star Trek!), with tons of different pieces. That wasn't the case back in 1994. The guy who built the sets used in this video had limited resources at his disposal, yet he did an amazing job.
I'm not exactly sure why this video was made since the Internet wasn't a big deal in the early '90s, but I'm incredibly impressed with it. What I love most, though, is the black humor that runs throughout. Oh, those poor red shirts!
